The KPMG Trainee Program is aimed at 3rd to 5th year and recently graduated university and university of applied science students who have a background in Business, Law, or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Maths). The program offers paid, full-time trainee positions that last from 3 to 10 months, depending on the position.
Each year, KPMG hires around 150 trainees through this program, with opportunities available in Audit, Tax & Legal, and Advisory Services. While most of the positions are based in Helsinki, there are also open positions at other KPMG office locations across Finland. The application period for the Trainee Program occurs twice a year: once at the beginning of the year and again in early fall.

What we are looking for in a Trainee?
- 3-5 years of university studies in Business, Law or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths)
- Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to learn & develop oneself
- A curious mind and a genuine interest in our business
- Previous experience in the field or other relevant skills and knowledge can be considered as an advantage

How to apply for the KPMG Trainee Program?
How does the recruitment process continue?
- Check out open positions at trainee.kpmg.fi/jobs and apply no later than 19.1.2025 by submitting your cover letter, CV and a transcript of studies or a degree certificate. You can apply for several positions with one application.
- After the application period has ended, all applicants will take part in KPMG Ready Game, our interactive game-based assessment, during 20.-21.1.2025.
- Based on the overall qualification, we will invite the most suitable candidates to an individual interview, which will be held online. For some of the positions, a case assignment and a second interview are part of the recruitment process.

Frequently Asked Questions
I have completed the KPMG Ready Game last fall. Do I need to do it again?
- If you played the same game during the past year, you don't have to do it again if you don't want to. However, please inform us at recruitment@kpmg.fi so we can verify your previous participation.
I received a reminder of the KPMG Ready Game even though I’ve completed it. What should I do?
- If you have already completed the assessment, you can simply ignore the reminder.
What should I do if I need adjustments to complete the assessment?
- If you're neurodivergent (dyslexic or dyspraxic, for example), have difficulties affecting your hands, or you'd just like to explore your options for additional support, just let us know at recruitment@kpmg.fi, we're happy to discuss any adjustments you feel you need to complete the assessment.
What happens if I miss the deadline for the KPMG Ready Game?
- The KPMG Ready is a mandatory part of our recruitment process. Unfortunately, if you do not complete the game within the given timeframe, you will not be able to proceed further in the recruitment process.
How does my KPMG Ready Game result impact my chances of getting invited to an interview?
- The assessment is one of the several evaluation criteria we use, along with your CV and application. We consider all three aspects together to form a comprehensive view of your suitability for the trainee role.
I didn’t get invited to an interview. Can I still receive feedback on my CV and/or cover letter?
- Unfortunately, due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to provide personalized feedback during our trainee recruitment process.
When will I find out the final selections?
- We will inform you of the final selections as soon as possible after the recruitment process is completed. The exact timing depends on the number of applications and the duration of the evaluation process. There might be service line specific variations in the recruitment process timelines.
